Short bio

Martina Sabariego blends her role as a composer-performer drawing from a wide range of influences. Her universe is rooted in jazz music, enriched by a strong background in classical and contemporary music while remaining true to her songwriting. Her discography is a reflection of Martina’s musical vision where she explores the convergence of the sounds of jazz, classical, folk, and experimental music through her unique artistic lens. 

Her work has been awarded by the New England Conservatory of Music, AIE Artistas and Berklee College of Music, where she received a full scholarship for her graduate studies at the prestigious Global Jazz Institute. 

Martina’s music has been played at Jordan Hall (Boston, MA), Palau Reina Sofía (Valencia), Palau de la música (Barcelona), Paranimf de la UB (Barcelona), Dizzy’s Club (NYC), Culturgest (Lisbon), among many other places and festivals. 

She has studied with Christopher Havel, Eduard Resina, Ken Schaphorst, John Lockwood, Danilo Pérez, Linda May Han Ho, John Patitucci, Joe Lovano, Félix Pastor, Laura Anne-Young, among many other artists.
